MEET THE ARTIST,
CHELSEA LEWIS-BAHR

BIO

Chelsea Lewis-Bahr is an experimental artist whose work dives into the depths of the human experience. Unleashed from a lifetime of stifled creativity, she discovered her voice through abstract expressionism and surrealism, exploring themes of cosmic exploration, interconnectedness, and the impact of her personal journeys.
Driven by a desire to understand herself and the world around her, Chelsea found the strength to transmute personal challenges into powerful works of art that mirror her inner world. Her artistic process is a journey of self-discovery, characterized by constant evolution and a search for true purpose in creating art that heals and invites viewers to explore their own inner landscapes. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as the Brushes with Cancer Non-Profit Events (2023-2024) and the Old City Jewish Art Center (2024). Chelsea Lewis-Bahr continues to push creative boundaries, seeking to create art that resonates deeply and transcends the limitations of time.

Pronounced: Bahr/ Bay-R

STATEMENT

Driven by a deep curiosity about the human condition and the complexities of the inner world, we call the mind, I explore the depths of emotion through abstract expressionism and surrealism. I employ expressive brushwork, textured surfaces, and monochromatic palettes to evoke visceral responses. I create works that transcend personal narratives and invite viewers to connect with universal emotions. Ultimately, I seek to spark introspection and foster a sense of interconnectedness within oneself, encouraging a profound exploration of the human experience.
